Well he wouldn't have made the 17 hr cutoff, but...

Maybe he’ll make it out of jail in time for IMFL next year. Likely not though. Assaulting a police officer is a felony (or at least it is up here in VA)

Yes, at least in my experience. At check in for a race in Brighton (UK) a volunteer asked me where my accent was from. After replying, he said, "You guys are crazy! Good luck out there Florida man!" Got a good chuckle out of that one.

The reason everyone knows "Florida Man" is because of the sunshine laws in the State of Florida. The amount of publicly available information related to arrests, etc. is extremely broad in the State of Florida. There are many states where arrest details and arrest reports are not publicly available.

Not a good idea to get into a lake in Florida when hiding from the cops.

Well that's depressingly embarrassing.

That being said, I'd wager that for a reduced sentence & a little training he'd be able to emerge from what ever drug induced cloud he's living in & make the17hr cutoff.

That's a great point. This could have been Lionel Sanders 10 years ago.

True, but....this place is actually just full of sh__bags. As a recent transplant from the Northeast I can personally vouch that every joke made about Florida is 100% deserved. There is no way for me to do justice to the lunacy of this place using just words. You will just have to take my word that Florida is the armpit of society.

When anyone says they live in Florida I always ask do you come from South Georgia or South New York?

The two groups are about as culturally far apart as its possible to be and still speak the same language. The lack of common ground that makes the state such a dysfunctional mess of 'not in my backyard' behaviour.

Sounds like you’re living in SoFL. CFL and NoFL are quite nice IMO.
