Rear disc durability?
I'm looking to buy a rear disc wheel soon. I had a HED disc a looooooong time ago (maybe late 90s), and I remember the carbon skin being rather fragile (i.e. prone to thumb imprints if you picked it up wrong). Is this still the case with the latest HED jet (or Flo, Roval, ENVE etc) discs?

Not my HED Jet Black. That skin seems pretty tough. I actually think the solid core discs are more fragile, because there is no give. If my head gets a hit, the skin can flex and absorb the impact that might permanently dent or puncture a solid core carbon disc.

Reynolds Element disc wheels are very solid.

I've had 3 recently... in order of robustness
  1. HED ( I think is tougher by a good margin in terms of puncture, they are scratch easy IMO)
  2. Roval321
  3. Zipp Super9
