I had the same issue with my Scoot Plasma base bar. I just took a dremel and opened the hole a little. I'm sure some people will suggest against this because it could "compromise" the carbon. I had no issues and haven't since.

If you dremel it, just make sure you seal the composite back up with a little superglue or epoxy to prevent moisture getting in there. Especially when the area is out of sight like that so you would not notice any degradation of the matrix around the hole.
