knee scope scar swelling lump - what is this?
I had a knee scope 5.5 weeks ago and the past two weeks one of the incision holes has small hard lump and it's a little sore when I rub it. The knee almost seems to catch on the lump when I cycle and sometimes walk. I feel I would be walking normal if this wasn't the case. I am not able to get into my surgeon until middle of next week. I feel like it might be scar tissue accumulating, but not sure. Two weeks after the surgery I started doing cross frictional massage on the scars daily for at least 5 minutes and sometimes I rub my massage tool over it. How can I get rid of this?

So yes definitely see your doctor but it’s not unusual to get some scar tissue that develops around the incision sites and can indeed be treated with cross friction massage. There’s some technique involved in doing cross friction massage correctly so they may have you work with a physical therapist etc..
