XDR Freehub Conversion *Help*
First post here, need some help. I’ve got a set of 2017 Reynolds Strikes, I’m converting a 2x to 1x and just pulled off the old Freehub body and it has no sprawls on the body but rather inside the hub.

Has anyone ever seen this? Called customer support at Reynolds and apparently they say this hub is not XDR compatible.

Thought someone might know of a better idea than swapping out the entire rear hub...although a Chris king Hub would sound reaaallly nice, but would like to save for a last resort.

Thanks!

You should sell the rear wheel that you have and buy a new one that has an XDR driver body.

You can buy 11 speed wide ratio cassettes that still fit a standard Shimano/SRAM freehubs. You won’t get a 10t small gear, only 11t but you can go a tooth or two bigger up front. Sunrace are common and cheap, there are lighter options available too

XDR is 12 speed.

Right. Trying to give him an option to use what he has without XDR necessity. (also you can get 11s cassettes that mount to XDR, so not all XDR use is 12 speed)

Yes, you are correct. You can install an 11 speed XD cassette on an XDR driver body if you put a spacer on first.
