I think he's very good at attracting attention for being quite ordinary from an endurance point of view. A pretty good percentage of mid-pack runners and triathletes are heavier than he is and a lot of runners and triathletes are quite serious about lifting.

But more power to him. As a heavy runner/triathlete (much heavier than him), I can probably learn more from the experiences of a 210 lb, 4 hour marathoner than I can from some 140 lb guy with a 350W FTP.

I’ve really enjoyed his stuff. There was also a great interview that Taren did on his podcast with him. Think what you want of Taren, but he does have a great podcast. Take a listen if you are interested in Nick and his backstory. Seems like an awesome, self made dude.
He’s a guy who likes challenges and seems like a general badass. I’m really hoping to meet Nick down in PCB.

that 4 hour marathon, which he was shooting for 3:30, he went in with a terrible plan... start with 4:00 pacers and work to 3:30.... kind of insane negative split there. He can probably use a coach
