What happened to Starky? Did he not even start?

Also what happened to Sarah True? I know she got an early flat, but then she seemed to do well for a while. Until mile 80 or so.

Next races on the schedule: none at the moment

Starkly tweeted he was sick and it would be stupid for him to start. Or something to that affect.

Sarah tweeted at 80 miles in the race was hot and the organizers should have canceled for the athletes safety.

Okay... first one is true. Second maybe slightly tongue in cheek...

I agree. The coverage has improved vastly over the past few years.

Hopefully NBC does a better job in their recap in November than last year

Starky came back into the pool area at Kam III with his bike and all his gear while we were waiting for Female AG start. Said he’d been fighting a lung infection for a week. He went for a swim and still felt like he was breathing thru a straw so he called it. He thought his fitness was really solid and felt bad not getting a chance to race.

I'm already looking forward to Haug Vs Ryf next year!

Ryf is better in all three disciplines. No contest.

People who say Ryf can't run that fast have to remember she hasn't had to run fast. She goes as hard as she needs to win. That's how you have longevity in the sport.

Maybe. We haven't seen Ryf fully challenged on the run yet.

Still, Ryf will take too much time on the bike for it to be a factor.

Ryf healthy next year will be #5.
