Why Frodeno is not in the list? Any particular reason?

EDIT:

I have recorded all the picks that were made by the deadline and followed the rules.

I will have results posted in a new thread by Sunday. It might take me a little longer than I anticipated to add up the numbers due to the number of entries but I'm glad so many people entered a team and that we are excited about the race. Best of luck to all; real competitors and your fantasy teams!

This was a fun little way to do Fantasy IMHO. I bet if you contacted Dan he could get you a few prizes for the winners and get a few plugs for those sponsors.

Must say I am stunned that only one other person picked Philips for their team. The guy ran a 2:40 at New Zealand to win the race after having a mechanical on the bike and then crashing... The guy is an absolute tank too. The tank part is the only thing that worries me about him being able to perform in Kona. But he is someone that can ride solo and run back into the race regardless and is an absolute steal in the C group.

Newsflash....the list is full of names I don’t know. I don’t follow triathlon THAT closely. And, I assume there are many like me. So, I have no doubt the starting line is chocked full of guys who have had great performances at various events over the past year or so. And, likely a few of them will do well tomorrow. But, I’m stunned you are stunned that more didn’t pick Phillips (literally never heard of this guy until your post) based off a good run performance after a mechanical failure/crash in one random IM

I like Kienle...besides, it is no fun if you always pick the favorite.

The guy was 16th at Kona last year at 26 years of age, maybe 25 depending on his birthdate. Just take a look at the guy too. I mean this guy is the tank of all tanks and to run a 2:40 is unreal. Currie was 5th at Hawaii last year and he took down Currie at IMNZ. Nearly everyone picked Currie in their entry. Currie is an absolute steal in the C category, but Phillips coming into his second Kona I think is just as much of bargain. I do like Currie's frame more for success at Hawaii on hot, non-windy days. But for windy days, as were predicted, tanks are good bets.

You expect me to remember who got 16th at Kona last year???? I probably couldn’t name the entire top 5.

And, even if I could, I'm not going to assume that number 16 will jump to top 10. Or that he will take down Currie at Kona because he did in a random IM. But, you at least gave me someone else to watch tomorrow!

Must say, I had never heard of Phillips either. Sounds like a good pick given that intel! With all due respect because I love both of these guys, I was surprised to see so many Amberger and Potts picks. Just feel like a lot of better odds in that C group.*

*Although there's a decent chance I don't know what I'm talking about!

I can't even remember 2nd place.
