Will IM Louisville Swim be Wetsuit Legal?
I have several friends racing this one. It has been damn hot here. The forecast calls for highs around 95-97F through Thursday. On Friday, cooler weather moves in with highs still in the upper 70's and lows in the mid 50's. Will this race be wetsuit legal?

What’s the current water temp?

Pink? Maybe. Maybe not. You decide.

Water temp is 80 degrees right now, it’s been crazy hot here and getting even hotter next 3 days (high of 97) and then drastically cooling off before the weekend and we haven’t had any rain to speak of. I’d say it’s going to be borderline and Ironman will probably find the magic spot to make it wetsuit legal. The water is really low right now and not flowing fast at all due to zero rain here, I’m going to guess that this will be the slowest Lou swim ever

Any issue with bacteria in the water? Is it safe to swim now?

cyanobacteria has been an issue. Hoping the lower temps and a little rain will help. almost had a cancelled swim a couple years back due to the "algal Bloom"
