Sad story in Milwaukee
Milwaukee, WI. (AP) - A fifteen-year old boy was at the center of a Milwaukee County courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him.
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Green Bay Packers, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

Would have been a much better punch line if it was set in Detroit.

You have really gotten so boring and predictable.

A false humanity is used to impose its opposite, by people whose cruelty is equalled only by their arrogance

It goes with the shame of being a Leaf fan.

It's a great joke as you can change the location and team to anything! Love it.

Yeah, but it works better with a team that has long-suffering fans. It hasn't even been a decade since the Packers won a Super Bowl. Their SB MVP still plays for the team. And their obvious history of winning. Poor choice.

The other examples of Detroit (I don't know if that was a reference to the Lions or the Tigers, but they both make sense on different levels), the Leafs, the Mariners, the Browns, the Clippers, etc. They make more sense than the Packers for that joke. And no, I'm not a Pack fanboy at all.

Yeah, but there's plenty of college teams to go around. Not just pro football. Could change sports. Shoot, even local high school teams.

Soccer, the USMNT is a great candidate for the joke. Like, perfect.
