I’m sorry that I’m not going to be able to go this year. First time in several years. My mom’s 90th is right in the middle and I’m going to be in aguas this week- so I might not be able to ride any way!

Many of my Hammer teammates will be there though.

I would have liked to finally meet you!

Next year... couldn't quite swing a CA trip this year.
But someone clipped a pedal in front of me last weekend and I jacked my shoulder up, so probably for the best :(

I'm in. All the endurance events except madison (only because my madison partner is out).

You'll see me. Same age category - I'm in all those except the last. Should be fun. Some strong guys.

Congrats on your strongman win last week.

I hurt my back packing for relocation the week prior (daughter to AZ, rest of fam to NorCal) and was out of commission unable to stand upright until Tuesday.
I didn't have a :32 in me anyway. I'd planned a :35 schedule and would have been disciplined to stay on it until 4 to go. No way I'd make up 3 seconds in 1km. Scratch would have been a good one for me although it's always a crap shoot. I was really looking forward to Points and Madison (planned on racing Madison with Jason who won IP and Scratch) and had a couple options for TP.

Super stoked for Jordan in the 35+, my new Hellyer training partner/nemisis Jeromy in the 40+, Good to see Jason M. doing so well in the 45+, he's been so strong on the road all year, and another long time competitor that I love to race against Tommy Robles gettting his new pajamas in the 50+.

There's a slim chance I'll be able to get to Worlds afterall but I'd swapped my bike and equipment around for Natz because they don't enforce UCI rules so I'd need to undo all those changes. Probably just hang it up for the year.

How's your week going?

Bummer about your back. Sorry.

I shit the bed in IP and scratch, but finally showed up for points, making the podium. Savage racing. But I liked the 45-49 field because everyone was safe and competent, unlike some other fields I saw.

Congrats! There's no easy way to the top in the 45-49 with so many guys that have 20+ years of elite racing experience. Well done.
