New vs Old new Trek
Have some $$$ from a bike crash and need to replace my trusty TTX 9. I know old, but loved that bike. Long story longer, I can afford new Speed Concept I at $4500 roughly stock. LBS has a 2014 for $2100 new.
Would it be worth it to buy 2014, use left over $$$ (never said that before) update group to elec, get solid race wheels, power meter
Or buy new SC and go stock.
Have S60 front already from ttx and older h3, don’t know if can be uodated to 11sp. wo rebuild
Any thoughts from bike experts appreciated

Is 2014 the second generation? There were some big changes made between gen 1 and gen 2, especially in ability to work on the bike. If the 2014 is the first generation, I would get the newer one. If not, have at it.

Make sure you check the expiry date first.

No question-2014 for less $. Take that '14 and put Di2 on it and you wont be sorry.

Get the 2014, put Di2 on it and change the stem cover to the 2019 version to make charging the thing much easier.

It has two small holes on the side. One you can see the indicator lights on the junction box to check your battery level the other hole lets you plug in your charger without having to take the cover off and fight the wires to get it back on. It came standard on the 2019 SC

SRAM Etap or Di2? Leaning Di2 price wise and seems much more common
One other question
Does 7 series or 9 series matter tooo much?
I think it might be a 7
Thanks all

200% buy the 2014 and put di2 shifting on it. I have a 2011 SC with di2 and it’s still an amazing bike. I haven’t seen anything yet on the market that made me want to upgrade. The speed concept is just that nice

Assuming that the bike is new and from an authorized Trek dealer, you will still get a full Trek warranty that starts from the date you purchased the bike.

I bought my SC under similar circumstances. It was old inventory and 2 years old when I got it. Great bike.

Yup, but make sure it really is 2014 gen2. Don't buy a gen1.
