From what I've seen on IG doesn't look like it.

Most Speedmax models are now set on "unavailable" and some already have a *New* tag next to their model name. Guess they are now updating the website for the new models...

Hey all,

Anyone know the last date Canyon updated the SpeedMax?

Any rumours on the 2020 models and approx. when they usually get launched? Kona is just around the corner so I’m thinking soon?

Appreciate it!

Interesting - thanks for sharing!

Who is supposed to ride a new Speedmax Disc (if any) in Kona? On Talbot's recent videos there were no signs of such a bike :/

Has anyone seen pictures of their new road bike? I have heard a prototype was raced in one of the warm up races before the worlds.

I've seen a few pics of Jan's new cockpit. Same Speedmax, but the aerobar set looks sick! If anyone know details about make/model, in case it's not Canyon branded, please share.
I'm happy with my 2019 speedmax CF SLX. I did 70.3 Worlds and I had no problems with those rim brakes on the downhill portion.

That's impossible. Explain yourself.

I am not sure I follow. What is the impossible part? That I had no issues with the rim brakes @ Worlds? Why should I? I know about the risks of overheated rims, and you just need to be conservative with the frecuency and duration of your braking, letting your rims cool down a little... Is that what you're referring to?

New 2020 models are online. Apart from Reynolds wheels on the low-end models I do not see any changes...

The new 2020 Speedmax is available to order on Canyon's website (at least here in Europe). It looks a lot like the 2019 Speedmax. Rim brake only.

Hey just as an FYI, I called Canyon today and spoke to a sales rep (in USA). I was told that the 'new' refers to newly in-stock inventory and we should be expecting an actual updated model sometime late October / early November with deliveries beginning likely in the January time frame. I hope it helps to clear up some of the confusion.

That's a bad move on their side. They should rather keep or lower the price and bring more customers in.

The sales rep said they won't know beforehand / any announcements will come through the Canyon Instagram so that's the best place to look. Hopefully we will get some disk brakes and an integrated power meter.
