I presume he ‘accepted’ his slot at Lanza. Does this slot get reallocated, if so does it roll down the Lanza pro finishers or drop into another race?

Good on him for ending his career on his terms.

The new system doesn't allow for roll downs or reallocation if someone decides not to show up...
Yes its a good way to end his career, doing the races he otherwise wouldn't have done knowing that he wouldn't be that competitive at Kona anymore
