Anyone here done this or a portion of it? Looking at possibly doing a portion of it this fall. Any advice or info is greatly appreciated.

What portion are you looking at? It's a 3,000mi trail, so specifics may help here
My thinking was to start at the south end in New Mexico and go north for 5-7 days.
