I'll be in Barcelona later this summer and my googling turned up various routes that are designated for swimming in the sea along there. There also seems to be a plethora of companies running guided swims along those routes. Has anybody here done OWS in Barcelona? Any tips?

Was there a couple of weeks ago. Great for an OW swim at Barcaclonetta Beach. No boats within the yellow buoys. Just make sure you don't leave anything valuable on the beach... I was there very early so left my bag (incl. phone) on beach and came back to nothing.. Phone I understand but my even my shoes, orthotics, towel and undies were gone. Not fun walking back along the streets in my wetsuit and no shoes!
