I contacted Garmin support re: my fenix5s and connectivity issues with my P1 pedals. Issue is still unresolved, but I was told that I have one of the "Southeast Asian versions" and they have different sensor software and it's several months behind other versions of the watch and should have an update soon. Sounds kind of weird to me. Anyone else heard this or know more about this?

I had a similar version of the 500. It was much cheaper and a few of the deeper menu options didn't translate to English. Yes indeed, the FW lags behind.
I am pretty surprised that this is the issue. Both the pedals and that watch are rather old products. It seems odd that even a slow to update watch still does not work. What other things did you try from Garmin support? Are the pedals up to date? What is the issue?
