I just had to google HTF they do it. Not surprisingly, it's fairly straight forward. They just design harnesses to strap an ultra-light camera a few inches above the bird between the wings. Then they train it to fly with them. Pretty cool.

I thought so... yes didn't even realize how most of the time it was just riding thermals until the motion it made when it flapped it's wings.
