I had a lateral meniscus repair, both plica removed and clean up behind my knee. It took awhile to walk normal due to stiffness, but I eventually got back to the normal. I never really had any pain ,except every few weeks I had this intermittent, severe stabbing, hot poker feel pain in my lower lateral knee area. It would be gone by the next day. I almost feel like something is floating around getting caught. I had an x-ray last week and there was nothing found. Now, I have a popping or snapping feeling in the left lower area that is intermittent, but it hurts like the devil. My surgeon thinks we should inject it w cortisone to break up the scare tissue. I'm going to proceed with the shot this Friday. Has anyone had a similar experience?
