Anyone riding the Kona Rove Ltd?

Hey Slowtwitch,
Anyone riding Kona’s Rove Ltd?

I’m a bit of a Kona fan as they are local and have a great reputation. The bike itself appeals to me as my first gravel / off-road bike. I’d like something that will allow me to jump into the local gravel Fondo scene. Emotion says a bike made in the PNW should be just what I need to jump into PNW gravel.

However, I need to be somewhat objective to rationalize N+1. How would you evaluate the Rove relative to other appealing alternatives like Open’s U.P.

Fork rake and wheelbase standout when looking at the geometry.

Gravel bikes with slack head-tube angles, long front-centers, and big trail numbers are best suited towards trail riding and will be better suited to descending and long, straight roads. These are the bikes that skew more towards the mountain bike end of the spectrum. Gravel bikes with steeper head tube angles, shorter front-centers, and shorter trail numbers are designed more towards road riding and will be better suited to climbing and roads that require quick handling.
