We think that our SwimRun NC race is beautiful and rewarding, but very hard, and thus we do not allow everyone in. This is not about being elitist, but for athlete safety.
This is what we require:
"Applicants need to submit athletic details of the past 24 months with finish times and as many details as possible. Applicants ideally have reasonably fast and competent trail running and open water swimming experience and/or decent fast IRONMAN (sub 14:00 hours) or Half IRONMAN (sub 6:00 hours) or sub 2 hour road Half Marathon times to their name."
