What the UK needs is a PM whose perception in the EU is that of the guy who will say "Fuck you, Fuck you, you're okay, Fuck you" and willing to just walk away and leave everything in flames. That's what is needed IMO to get the ungrateful bastards back to the table in good faith.

I don't think the EU do need to come back. I think the UK needs to recognise it can't be both in for frictionless movement of goods services and capital and be out to do the same elsewhere.
