eTap and TriBikeTransport
Shipping my bike to Boulder next week. Question - should I take the eTap batteries off? Does not seem to be any need for them to be on the bike while it is travelling on the truck. And what about the blipbox?

Next races on the schedule: none at the moment

eTap is activated by inertia sensors, so absolutely remove the batteries. They will essentially be "on" the entire time bike is in transit otherwise.

No real need to remove the blip box.

Simply remove eTAP batteries and replace with the red-plastic "covers" that should have come with in order to protect the connectivity parts.

OR

Leave the batteries on, and just remember to charge upon arrival!

I remove them since the derailleur turns on with motion. Shipped it to Nationals after I put eTap on with Bikeflights and my battery was completely dead.

So I remove the battery and take my battery charger to cover all of my bases.

I just thought about your blip box comment... I put a pack of CR2032 batteries in my tri bag just in case.

You may want to throw in a quarter as well - that door is hard to turn without a coin...
