E-mail Help - Honestly, you'd think I'd know how to do this but....

So I only use Gmail and almost exclusively on mobile devices

I'm also supremely lazy, so I have run out of space

anyway, I've managed to clear out 15k emails

I know have archived 8k I want to keep

I've created an MBOX file which I've downloaded and I have set up my email on outlook

Obviously outlook replicates my online gmail account

I want to load these emails in to outlook but not replicate them online

I then want to delete the 8k from the net

How can I do that?

There is a setting in Outlook that says to delete messages off the server after it downloads it to Outlook. After you do that though, you will no longer be able to access them on your phone but maybe that's what you want.

You want to create a local PST file in outlook to store those emails. When you connect to gmail, it creates a data file but it directly syncs, so it won't store locally. A PST file will be local storage that isn't attached to your gmail account.
