Great spring day!

First real ride this spring.

Sun shining, 24 C, big smiles all around. The real fun roads open June 15th.

What made your day great?

Rain in the desert in May. Very rare.

*edit* BTW, an sv650 was my final motorbike.

I did the same. Just didn't have the time. But after ~ 10 years without a ride, I picked up my sv1000 last summer.

Rain in the desert would make fora great day.

I was looking at the 650, but there's lots of highway riding here, I'm a bigger guy, and I have an acceleration addiction. So the 1000 it is. And used, it was about the same $.

To add, my bike started as an sv650, then I put a gsxr 750 front end on it, penske double on the read, hotter cams, etc. but always the stock exhaust.
It was a blast in the twisties.

Well, my wife was nice enough to let me and our oldest hit closing day at Winter Park today. So that makes two this season (also closed down Eldora).

I think my honey-do list is going to be pretty long ...

Nice.

The forks on the 1000 are 46mm cartridge rather than the 41mm damper rod on the 650. The forks aren't holding me back, although I really need to adjust the set up. Too soft and slow for my size/style.

My bike is stock (so far), with the exception of my homemade fender delete and the mufflers. The PO decided to take a hole saw and remove the final baffle on each. It's louder, raspy, and I don't think it helps power. I'm still deciding what to do about it. I don't like loud. I have a stock set off an 03, but mounts are different. And damn, they are heavy.

And agree, so much fun in the twisties.

It was, thanks!

Saw quite a few people out on their bikes today on the drive up and down. Beautiful day for a ride.

Did leg lock class this morning then cooked gluten free chicken fried steak for mrs. Duffy.

Nothing to do with motorcycles, but I had to smile today hearing my 11-yr old daughter walk through the house singing "London calling at the top of the dial....."

Great mountain bike ride this morning. Then jammed out to the BLM land and smoked about 50 whistle pigs with the 17hmr. Took about 75 rounds so the hit rate kinda sucked but it sure was fun!!! Springtime rules.
