Water in the frame
Hey all,

I did the Virginia 70.3 yesterday, and there was a light to steady rain the whole ride. I noticed while hosing down my bike today that it sounds like there is a bit of water trapped inside my Cervelo P2 (2016) frame. I’m sure with water spraying up from my tires for 2.5 hours, it found a way into the bike through the cable openings and whatnot. I tried to wave my frame around/upside down but I couldn’t seem to find a way to drain it. Should I be worried about it sitting in the frame, and causing some sort of damage? Will it just dry up on its own? All suggestions appreciated!

remove seatpost, dissassemble bar/stem and sit frame upside down for a day. Put newspapers underneath to wick moisture out.

Thank you! While taking apart my bike I actually realized the sound of the water was coming from my rear wheel. But I will still let the frame air out in case there’s any trapped moisture.

Stick a straw in it and, viola, new hydration system.
