Our community is in a state of emergency due to flooding. My house is ok - we've sandbagged proactively in case there's a rapid rise. The military has been deployed. The roads are a mess. Police have started closing streets in the worst-affected area to most traffic, except for shuttle buses - and bikes. Rode my Grail about 20km round trip in jeans and rubber boots to help out. And it was perfect.
