swim-run gear

- I am wondering, why dont people use neoprene vibram 5 fingers? (i tried non neoprene version, they are ok, but killed my calves on the run)

- How do you prevent the cord from wrapping around you or partners arm during the swim? (my partner swim 15s faster per 100, cord wrapped my arm and I couldnt use it at all , we had to cut it mid swim)

- instead of compression socks, why not cut lower leg portion of a full wet suit as sleaves for calves?

SR is an evolving sport. With footwear and gear choices, there isn’t necessarily a right or wrong answer. Whatever works for you....

Orca makes some wetsuit style calve sleeves that essentially are what you describe. Either with those or pull buoy, you need help keeping the feet up.

Dealing with the cord takes practice. Some races don’t require them to be used. Either do one of those races, or practice

A very nice shoe geared for that event. Some pals have loved it!

Would figure by now someone would make a neoprene top shoe.

.

I know a big feature is the sole and the ability to drain easily.
