I keep the front yard tidy with mowing and green with a "mixture" I spray on that is a combination of crappy NASCAR beer, dish soap, ammonia, and a couple other things

My rose garden has an undergrowth of raspberry bushes, which are fun

I let the backyard go a little feral from time to time, but I'll cut it down when it gets high enough that snakes can hide in it
