Go east on highway 42 and you are solid. Ride on Highway 3/Robert trail north through rosemount. There are so many great roads in Farmington as well. Lots of shoulder and good roads.
Make it over towards the river and you've got an endless system of roads with great climbing along the bluffs in Wisconsin on highway 35 or the Minnesota side is highway 61. You wont be dissatisfied!
