Apollo 11 Documentary Review
Went to go see the Apollo 11 documentary today....very well done. I highly recommend it. All of the audio is essentially the launch control center, mission control, the astronauts, or news coverage (especially Jules Bergen and Walter Cronkite); there is no other narration. Some really awesome footage, much of which I’ve never seen. It’s out in IMAX, which would be awesome, although I saw it on the regular screen, and it was still amazing.

I saw it in Imax and it was amazing.

Such an interesting approach with no interviews from the present and just using contempory footage or audio as the narration. The footage just looks so amazing. I mean, some of those scenes just look as good as anything shot today.

Yeah, I would have loved to see it in IMAX, but it just wasn’t available here. I think the approach of no new narration was really fitting. Kind of like “They Shall Not Grow Old.”
