New P5 vs P5X
I see some pros are on the P5 and not P5X. How come? Isn't the 'X faster/better?

Maybe we should make a list of comparison:

Cons of P5X to P5 disk:
-about 1 kg heavier
-probably less stiff at the bottom bracket
-about $4000 more expensive

Pros of P5X to P5 disk:
-lots of storage options
-tilting possibility of extensions
-traveling bag
-possibility of holding a big (750 ml) round bottle in the frame "triangle" without a lot of aero penalty

This was already extensively discussed, detailed and answered in the New Cervelo P5 disk thread

I think Freddy Van Lierde for example is typically using the P5 in Nice, which is a hilly and technical course.
So I guess it's handling and weight for the P5...

Likely just promoting the new bike release. Hoffman and Van Lierde have said they get their pick of bikes to use so will decide based on race course where to use NP5 or P5X

Correct, our athletes have the rare luxury of two very fast models which they can choose from for whatever race they want. I think there may be some "new bike day" excitement for both and they want to really open them up on the race course.

Random question,

Do either or both of the P5X and/or the new P5 Disc have BBright bottom bracket shells ? If no, what is the standard that they use?
