Oh, man. Really sorry to hear it. Every time my cat heads outside I tell him "Be careful out there". But there's no way to keep some cats in, you have to let them live their own cat lives.

That was him. There was no way to keep him inside, I tried but if the door was opened for a half second he’d run to it out of nowhere. He loved being outside, until it was time for bed. Then he’d cuddle up with me every night.

Dude, that sucks. I'm sorry, man. Three months ago I would have been like Nelson from Simpsons, pointed & laughed loudly. (Not really, but I wouldn't have understood an affection for felines.) But now I get it. I wanted to adopt a dog, realized it's just not quite the right time for us, but I caved and let the kids have a kitten. Now he's my kitten. We're buds. He's awesome, and sometimes we both prefer each other to the energy of my crazy children. And I get the bond, so I'm sorry you've lost him. Peace to ya.

Losing pets sucks. 6 years ago a cat moved himself in. I've always been fine with cats but never wanted one. He was mostly dead when he showed up and is now the happiest critters around. I'm glad that he doesn't really want to go outside, every time he goes out i am afraid something will happen.
