Ohio nonresident tax question
Quote | Reply
My kid goes to school in Ohio had a job down there, but is a resident of Michigan. I believe from this line she does not have to file an ohio return (assuming the univeristy is an unrelated employer)

https://www.tax.ohio.gov/...l/who_must_file.aspx
// Exception
A full-year nonresident living in a Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Michigan or Pennsylvania does not have to file if the nonresident's only Ohio-sourced income is wages received from an unrelated employer.

They did not take an Ohio income tax from here so there is no need to try and get anything back.
