Apple Watch and Training Peaks

Am I reading correctly that you need one of four apps to sync your Apple Watch with TP, and only Fitness Syncer is free? Downloaded it, and it’s super user unfriendly.

Just need something to track strength workouts

I use HealthFit - I think it was 3 bucks.

Downloaded tonight, and it worked great.

However the Nike plus app on the watch wasn’t very impressive and doesn’t have a strength mode. Is there a better app to track strength workouts?

I don’t use any for that but DC Rainmaker mentions StrongApp. Might be some others in the comments too.

Not sure, I don’t track strength workouts except to add the completed time in training peaks. You don’t get any kind of usable TSS from it I don’t think, so I’ve never worried about it. I guess you could choose something on Apple Watch that tracks hr, then use the hr tss and change out the workout type manually in TP.
