Went for the cervelo rear brake cable mod today

Bike now has no brake cables and will likely remain that way for the foreseeable future

Floor also has a dent from where I threw the wrench down

Fun fun

I don't get it. Did you botch the job?

Pause, breath, have a drink (or two) and clarify what happened. I've modified cable routing for both a 2nd generation P2 and a P4. Both are different beasts and have different solutions.

I assume it was an allen wrench? That's the only wrench that should have been anywhere near this job. It's used to remove the stem cap (to remove fork) and top tube cable guide.

Someone here can likely talk you through it. Let us know which model you are working on and what the issue is.

Pictures help too.

Are you talking about the NP2/3 model where the cable is routed either under the head tube or the plastic cup routing the cables by the head tube is drilled? Either way you do not need a heavy wrench. If you PM me I can guide you.

Next races on the schedule: none at the moment
