Any of you ever apply for VA benefits for your parents?
My father served in the Army in WW2. I would like to find out if my mom is eligible for any type of benefits from the VA. We don't have any info about my dad's service, except I know he was in the Pacific. It appears that certain "volunteers" cannot charge for their services. I am going to call the VA this morning but I am sure someone here has made it through the maze.

Maybe.

My grandmother just passed Feb 9th, she had been collecting a monthly VA payment since my grandfather's death in 1999. He was categorized 100% disabled in the 70's, due to his WWII service (Bataan and concentration camp survivor).

My guess if she rated anything she would have known by now. But a call to the VA cannot hurt.
