I have the xlab Stealth on top tube with my repair stuff in it and carry my nutrition in my jersey pockets.

Not sure why you're struggling because there are so many options out there from Profile Design, DarkSpeedWorks, X-Lab, Torhans, etc and they all seem to work. I prefer the Scott Plasma storage because It has much more volume than the PD one I had previously and because I prefer the solid vs fabric/zipper:

That's the X-lab carbon wing with the sticker removed. I just changed to their Turbo Wing.

Do you have a power meter?

No rear storage (yet), but we certainly make (yes, we actually make them ourselves) a nice bento. Speedpack 483D on P5 pictured below ...

Curious, as I’m about to buy one of the Xlab options for my P2 - why have you changed from carbon to turbo?

Bottle position, mainly. The aluminum one has more adjustment, and with my PN3.1 saddle specifically the aluminum allows me to get the bottle slightly higher and closer to my butt. Slightly easier to reach. Also, the carbon one is wider because it has a space to put a spare tube. I don't need that and would rather have the bottles closer together. I figure that's more aero as well. The alu two piece design also looks more aero from the front compared to the solid carbon which looks like a tiny parachute below the saddle, if that makes sense.

Edit: Adding pictures from the side. Notice the bottom bolt was a bit below the rail, now it's above. The bottle was about 1cm from the seat and now it is in contact. The two bottle cages are also more than 1cm closer together. Looks much tighter and better positioned, imo.

JMIKE- do you put your nutrition in your jersey during T1? I assume you don't swim with it... And what distance are you racing?

I am personally having trouble finding enough storage for 70.3. I need about 1600 calories I think and would prefer to get about 800 of them from something solid.

Half - I put food in my top under wetsuit. Ironman - sure I am in minority here but I put on cycling jersey so have food in pockets beforehand.

All this said, am considering an Aero Pouch. If I were to go that route I would use storage for food.

Another recommendation for yannb boxes. Been using mine for 2 weeks now and it's great.

I just wanted to give a big shout for your Yann also. I don't have a P5. I have a Felt (sorry)..but he made me one for it. It is perfect, and super light. genius idea he came up with. He promised a date, he delivered before that, and that was with a delay for something personal that came up.

He is very informative if you want to even have custom items made. He is busy now, but big shout out!
