How to use Tacx Neo v1 with rat axle bike
Quote | Reply
Appreciate feedback on this. Have the neo thru axle adapter, but does not seem to fit rat axle on drive end. Thanks

Unfortunately Tacx does list the Rat system as incompatible with the Neo. There is a company called "The Robert Axle Project" that sells a solution for use with wheel on trainers. I don't recommend it, but have used the Neo thru axle adapter on the non drive side and used the nut from the regular QR skewer on the drive side, just to adjust my fit on a new bike.

My wife's bike is an R5 with the RAT thru axle. I had to get a threaded hanger from cervelo to accept the thru axle trainer adapter. What bike do you have?

It's R5 as well. So seems I will need to contact Cervelo for that threaded hanger. Thanks!

You will have to buy through a dealer or order this one. Make sure your trainer adapter has the correct thread pitch. It's 1.75

DRH-WMN112 is the Cervelo internal part number for this required hanger

Once you replaced the hanger, did you leave it permanently on the bike? if yes, with the new hanger I will have to use a thru axle with the bike instead of the RAT axle when using it outside, right?

You are correct. You can even get a thru axle from Wolftooth Components and then get their trainer adapter. Think it works with any trainer. You just install the trainer caps and remove just the caps when you want to go outside.
