Will be visiting in July.
Any good rides / runs out there?
I’m sure there are but was hoping someone had a Strava or Ridewithgps link.
Thanks in advance!

There's one in Massachusetts? I only know of the Delaware

Why is Re-ho-both pronounced "Ra-ho-beth?"

Because it's Massachusetts, land of Scituate, Peabody, Bourne, Worcester, etc. A gift that keeps on giving: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i44gf178PtU

In terms of riding, I'd probably head East and then hit the Patriot / Cranberry tri courses.

Don't forget Leicester (pronounced Lester).

Yea, there's not much down there. It's probably best to head east into Freetown, Rochester and Lakeville (aka, the tri courses mentioned above). Some pretty areas.

Former Masshole here. Grew up in Yarmouth, college in Boston, then progressively further north (after detours in Connecticut and Virginia).

I really love riding the Cranberry / Patriot courses. Wife is racing Patriot this year, and I'm probably doing LP so Cranberry isn't exactly a smart recovery idea...it's just a pretty area, good roads (note: New England nice, which means plenty of chip seal and potholes to go around, but there aren't Volkswagen style bumps to avoid). We're a different breed...

Recovering Southeast New Englander here.

The East Bay Bike Path is pretty nice to run on. I'd second the suggestion for the Patriots bike course. The Newman Branch YMCA is also a nice place to swim, or if you want to break the law, you can head over the Wheeler Farm in Seekonk and swim in the outdoor pool there.

I ride in Rehoboth/Dighton all the time in the summer.

It's super flat and usually where I go if I need to do any type of longer intervals as there aren't many stops signs and there are a lot of long roads. I go on Strava and build a route from the heatmaps. I usually only see a handful of other cyclists out there and the traffic is pretty light as long as you're not riding in the towns.

Here are a few rides I did last year.

As someone else mentioned, the East Bay Bike Path begins in Providence and runs all the way to Bristol. There are many parking lots/ access points to park your car. I wouldn't ride on the bike path if you're doing any structured or hard riding but its good for running or an easy cruise.

Let me know if you have any questions I'm happy to help.

Been circa nine years but in 2010 I spent the summer in Riverside, RI. For my rides I did loops on 114 that turned around after Gate of Heaven Cemetary at the northwest end and the last turnaround before Barrington High School at the south end. If I recall the loop was 8.4 miles. There was a huge shoulder and, back in 2010, one stoplight which you see well in advance and you could time it. I think in the entire summer I had to stop once. Feel free to message me if you want more information.

Bikeworks in Swansea has group rides and they have Thursday night tt series in July. Also another resource would be Narragansett Bay Wheelmen they have Sunday rides all year round. Check it out.

Haverhill.

I don't ride at all in SE Mass. In addition to the East Bay bike path, there is also the Blackstone river bikeway from Woonsocket to Cumberland. You can link the two with some street riding. The blackstone path is about 10 miles

I love the Blackstone Valley Greenway and run on it every time I'm home. I usually pick it up from the Cumberland rest stop on 295 though and head north towards Worcester, and not downtown.
