New Running Related Book: "Pure Gold"

I recently read "Pure Gold," the biography of Eric Liddell. Liddell, you may recall, was the sprinter from "Chariots of Fire" who refused to run on Sunday due to faith issues. As a result, he was forced to run and train for the 400 m rather than the 100 m, where he was favored. (The 100 final was on Sunday.)

Liddell left international competition at 23 years old to become a missionary in China. He later died in a Japanese prison camp during World War II, following the Japanese invasion of China.

An interesting book...how many would leave their best years of competition to be a missionary in a foreign country.

Anybody else read the book? If so, what did you think?
