I have a set of HED Stinger 9s (11 speed, <300 miles on them). Don't know if that's too much for the road bike though, as you mentioned with regard to the Enve 8.9s. Happy to send photos if you're interested.

Im all Tubular all the time, so cant say Id really be open to clinchers.
