Anyone flown on SAS with a bike?
I'm racing IM Norway in June and trying to finalize plane tickets. SAS is one of the airlines I'm considering, but I'm a little confused by the wording on their website regarding flying with a bike. It looks like the bike is included as one piece of luggage if it fits the 'requirements,' but I'm not sure if that relates to size, weight, or both. I'll be using a Scion Aerotech Evolution hard case for my bike, and will be under the 23kg weight limit for luggage. Anyone with experience on the airline who chimes in would be appreciated!

I flew with them a few times ( based in Copenhagen) and they are usually pretty relaxed with Luggage. For my most recent trip to kona, I didn't have to pay extra. However, I did have to call ahead to book a spot for the bike in the hold.

So easiest answer is just pick up the phone. :-)

I've flown with a pulk & 2 months worth of equipment (100kg+) for an arctic expedition.Via Stockholm, Oslo & further north. Never had an issue.

But just call them to reserve your spot as they reserve it onto your booking straight away and send a confirmation email if you want.

Thanks for the replies! Sounds like if I let them know about a bike after the flight is booked that it should be good.
