Triathlon bike fit in Europe
This season I'm finally switching to a TT bike (yay ! :-))

I'm looking for a proper bike fit with a triathlon specialist on a dynamic bike to be sure of the frame size as my road bike doesn't allowed enough adjustement.

I live in Switzerland, but as the bike is my weapon in triathlon, i'm not afraid to travel a bit.

Thanks in advance for your help and a happy new year to everyone !

Tripro.nl does dynamic fits on a Guru system.
They're Holland based and the owner/fitter is here on the forum as well.

You could post a video here and have some of the pros work with you for free.

I believe Patrick Lange went to cyclefit.de in the past, which is south of Frankfurt.

I would work with Gebiomized even with the travel to Germany. None better in Europe.

You better go there, 25 years of experience in fitting.

I heard of them, but I saw on their website that they have a lot of fitter center.
Do you know if one on them would be better? If I travel to Germany I want to be sure I can work with someone familiar with triathlon specificity.

Check out Lasse Ibert, has his gebiomized concept lab in Nuernberg.

Berlin or Hamburg is where I would go. You have many options closer to you as well and I'm sure they are just as good.

nothing wrong with gebiomized, got fitted by them myself. But as far as I'm aware they usually do the fitting directly on your bike => no fitbike.
(I assume thats what Margotri was asking for with "dynamic bike"?!)

I think the fitlab in MĂĽnster is their "original" lab with Daniel Schade (the fitter in the youtube vid from Sebi Kienle recently), the lab in Cologne is led by the STAPS guys who do lots of velodrome testing here in GER with the canyon pro-triathletes for example. No experience with their other labs.

Another recommendation: Holger Röthig in the Düsseldorf-Area. http://holger-roethig.de
He is doing dynamic fits on a fitbike. No personal experience but only heard/read good things about him. Also FIST-certified/Slowtwitch-Fitter-DB listed.

Hi Arnaud,

As the first poster said, we are based in Holland. Indeed we do all our fits on the GURU dfu, we have a lot -like in almost all common tri saddles- to test, most profile design, zipp and felt extensions so you can try the most used bars ad well. And, yes, off course some experience and knowledge in the sport as well ;-)

But from Switzerland it is a bit of a travel. If you want to make the trip, let me know.

All the best,

You're assuming right, thank you ;-)

Lloyd Thomas and his wife Britta at Cyclefit.de are great. They're located in Bensheim, not far from Frankfurt. I saw him in action when he was helping out with a project. I was so impressed that I decided to make the trip from Sweden down to Bensheim (with both my Road Bike and TT bike!). They fitted me on my bikes, but they also have a fit bike. they've worked with a bunch of high profile Tri and TT riders and really know what they're doing.

Since you mentioned you are willing to travel, I would highly recommend to pay a visit to Jaime Menendez de Luarca in Madrid. Aside from being one of Spain’s best coaches working with several elite athletes (both ITU and long-distance), and a 6x Kona racer himself, he is also a top fitter, with lots of Tri-specific experience.
As far as tech goes, he is using Retul, bioracer and Notio, so you also have the possibility to have him assess and refine your CdA in addition to the usual fit, maybe making a longer trip worthwhile.
He is active in ST (under the nickname “luarca”), so you can contact him here.

Copyright that. Fritz is very cool and thinks outside the box if needed.
More than happy with the result.
Timo Bracht is one pro I know of who got fitted there, did really solid along the years.
