TrainingPeaks Ironman 70.3 Training Plan
Hi All,

I have decided to start to get serious about ticking a few items off my bucket list being an IronMan 70.3 and then hopefully a full IronMan.

Whilst I have some experience running and riding swimming has only been strictly recreational till now. I purchased an IronMan 70.3 Beginners training plan and have started it but cannot follow some of the swimming sessions. Attached to this post is a snip of my swim workout for tomorrow. It has some drills in both the warmup and also the main set but lists both Fist and One Arm Drills in the description.

Are they wanting me to swim with one arm and closed fists or is one for warmup and one for main set?

Thanks in advance.

Mccarda,

Both (one arm and closed fist) are important to increase the water feeling. Try it and feel the difference with normal open hand.

I get they are both important and I have done them seperately just not both at once.
