When I lived in Toronto I took pride in being the first to start wearing a winter hat and the last to take it off. I had a Canadian colleague who said the best method was to leave the house without drying your hair from the shower. wtf

I still have my favorite Toque from High School. The thing is over 35 years old but still keeps your head warm like a champ. I keep it in the car and when my daughter forgets her hat for after swim practice. She refers to it as The Toque of Shame.

Fun Fact - Elton met his husband in Toronto, who went to the same high school in Scarborough as Mike Myers and Eric McCormack.
