Admittedly novice at determining the differences between specifications when reading them, I can never seem to tell whether the disc brakes listed for some of the new Tri bikes (like the QR PRFive and the Felt IA3 and IA2) are mechanical or hydro. Other than assuming they are all mechanical, I would like to be able to discern among the various specs so I know what to look for. I've tried to "google educate" myself but it is still confounding. Any suggestions on how to learn this are appreciated.

Just Google the brake's name or part number.
You can usually tell just by looking at the caliper. Do you see a cable sticking out? But googling the part should also give results.
IA2 Disc is hydraulic (with those ugly ass brake levers). IA3 disc is mechanical. I will be running the IA3 disc next year. I’m changing out almost everything that comes with the bike, but I’ll be sticking with the mechanical brakes. Mainly because I don’t like any of the TT hydraulic brake levers available. I’ll be sticking SRAM mechanical aero brake levers.
Not sure about the QR, haven’t looked at those.
