If you are referring to G as in Gerry, I think that's his swim coach and only for the swim

I think we already knew he was working with Gerry, and of course there is a whole thread on his fitting coaches, Jim and Ivan I believe..And its possible someone is checking their work...(-;

yeah, so he went back to his old swim coach which he had mentioned but there is no new bike/run coach called Coach G?

I don't think his overall "coach" is Gerry. I just think he's working with Gerry a LOT more than previously.

So I've watched the whole thing, the "COACH" resides in Florida. Listened to the whole thing, fun interview.

haha. the guy's name is Gary, just not that Gary. If you read some of his very old blog posts (circa 2013), he is mentioned several times. I have to assume there is some reason they are not saying his name, so I won't either, just simply point you in the right direction :)

I don't think you are far off. In all of Lionel's videos from last year, and even now, I kind of feel like the fun has gone out of tri for him. He is still fired up about hurting, but I feel like he is a bit more aware of expectation - and he seems to spend most of his videos beating himself up for failure, rather than saying anything positive or seeming like he is enjoying it all.

I wonder if like many raw talents, self awareness and plateauing somewhat has killed the intrinsic reason he was drawn to this - and therefore sucking motivation. I hope not.

Wait...Coach G...lives in Florida? Doesn't Thomas Gerlach live in Florida? Oh YEAH this is gonna be GREAT!
