When I scheduled my races for 2019 I signed up for a spring marathon and a fall 70.3 as my A races. My thought was that I would train for the marathon and then have 4 months to get ready for the triathlon. I recently got a lottery spot into a triathlon that falls one month after the marathon. I would now classify the 2 triathlons as my A races and the marathon as a B race. Should I keep my training plan as is or should I just train for the summer triathlon and let the marathon training go and just run the marathon to finish? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Bag the marathon, or, switch to half marathon (same day/event?) if possible and use as "training race," though I'm not a big fan of this as it is usually not very satisfying to give less than 100% race effort. In any case, the Half should allow for adequate recovery before the first Tri.
