I reached out to Ironman but no response yet.

The homepage of Steelhead 70.3 states:

The 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 Steelhead will offer qualifying slots to the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.

We agree this is a mistake right? If yes we reckon there'll be 30 slots for Nice?
CDA 70.3 is the same weekend as Steelhead and they do mention being a qualifier for Nice this year.

I wonder... given it used to be in August, well past the typical qualification cut-off of mid-July, it could just be a left-over. Eventually they may publish the full list of qualifying races and slots as they have in years' past (usually in Dec/Jan) and could be fixed by then. Or who knows, they could keep it as is or even make it a double qualifier like I think Ireland 70.3 was this year.

CDA 70.3 is the same weekend as Steelhead and they do mention being a qualifier for Nice this year.

I'd assume the website is correct. This year athletes at Steelhead competed for 2019 Nice spots.

The date changed, it's June 30 now instead of August.

So weird to qualify that early for 2020!
Confusing also knowing that other races taking place on the same weekend like CDA 70.3 do offer spots for Nice...

The 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 Coeur d'Alene will offer 30 qualifying slots to the 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice, France.
